Environment, Health and Safety Manager

**THIS POSITION IS BEING RECRUITED FOR INTERNALLY - RECRUITERS/AGENCIES PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT**The EHS Manager is responsible for ensuring company policies, procedures, and practices comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to environmental, health, and safety compliance. This position oversees the facility safety program, plant security, and Workers’ Compensation administration while promoting and maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant work environment for all employees.The statements included in this description are intended to reflect in general the duties & responsibilities of the classification & are not to be interpreted as being all-inclusive.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESManage and maintain facility compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, SWRCB, SCAQMD, and other governing agencies.Stay current on environmental, health, and safety regulations by attending industry meetings, workshops, and training sessions.Administer Workers’ Compensation cases, including coordinating medical clinic appointments and treatments, maintaining OSHA 300 Logs and related documentation, conducting follow-up investigations, preparing and maintaining case documentation, and communicating directly with Workers’ Compensation providersMonitor facility security systems and coordinate maintenance repairs through work order requests.Manage and oversee the facility safety program, including coordinating and participating in monthly Safety Committee meetings and facility walkthroughs, conducting monthly safety meetings with production and shop personnel, monitoring employee safety recognition and award program, coordinating emergency response services during natural disasters or facility emergencies and issuing and maintaining certifications for forklift, steam cleaning, welding, and crane operatorsManage the employee uniform program, including vendor coordination, reporting missing uniforms, and ensuring employees are issued the proper uniforms in accordance with company and safety requirements.QUALIFICATIONSEducation High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, environmental health and safety, or related industrial operations.Must possess the training, knowledge, and experience necessary to perform the essential job functions.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices.Strong understanding of occupational health and safety principles and practices.Working knowledge of federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements and company policies.Experience developing and implementing safety policies and procedures.Skilled in accident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, including high heat conditions.Ability to walk the production floor, conduct inspections, and respond to facility incidents as needed.Position requires full-time onsite presence; remote work is not available.
