Special Education Teacher
This position offers an opportunity to work as a Special Education Teacher across multiple school sites in the Lancaster, SC area for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves supporting students with diverse learning needs in various educational settings spanning elementary, middle, and high schools. Responsibilities: Deliver Special Education instruction to students in moderate and multi-categorical classrooms. Work within co-taught resource rooms and self-contained settings. Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create inclusive learning environments. Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet individual student needs. Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues. Qualifications: Active South Carolina Special Education Teacher License with Multi-categorical or equivalent certifications. Experience in moderate to severe special education settings preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and manage varied classroom environments. Strong organizational and communication skills. Flexibility to work full-time or part-time hours depending on the specific assignment. Schedule and Locations: Elementary: Five positions, 8:30 AM to 3:35 PM. Middle School: Seven positions, 7:30 AM to 2:45 PM; including one part-time (18-20 hours/week) co-taught resource role. High School: Two positions, 8:30 AM to 3:35 PM. Assignments range from self-contained to co-taught resource rooms. Onsite presence preferred, with potential for virtual or hybrid arrangements closer to the school year.
