Supply Chain Analyst / Transportation Operations SupportPosition OverviewThe contractor will support and evaluate supply chain and transportation operations including inventory management, replenishment, forecasting, logistics coordination, warehousing, procurement, and distribution activities. This role supports regional transportation operations with a focus on vendor coordination, distribution center support, shipment recovery, and root cause analysis for operational issues.The position is heavily focused on balancing day-to-day operational execution with longer-term analytical and process improvement projects. The contractor will work closely with supply chain managers, merchants, vendors, and distribution teams to improve replenishment processes, inventory flow, and transportation efficiency across multiple distribution centers within the Northwest region.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport transportation and supply chain operations for vendors and regional distribution centersCoordinate shipment pickups, recover missed shipments, and assist with transportation issue resolutionPerform root cause analysis on operational, inventory, and transportation issuesParticipate in developing forecasting, order replenishment, and logistics channel decision processesCreate and maintain reports, dashboards, and inventory tracking metricsManage day-to-day replenishment activities and respond to store or distribution replenishment questionsAssist with process improvement projects within Supply Chain operationsIdentify key stakeholders, project owners, and resources required for operational initiativesDevelop decision support tools and financial models to analyze inventory and transportation cost/service tradeoffsAnalyze multi-tier distribution channels and inventory movement to support operational efficiencySupport collaborative planning activities with merchants, suppliers, and transportation partnersAssist in planning promotions, inventory transitions, price changes, and exit strategiesGather and analyze supply chain best practices to support business case development and operational improvementsRequired Skills & Qualifications1–2 years of experience in supply chain, transportation, logistics, manufacturing, operations, or related analytical environmentsBachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or related fieldStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage both operational support responsibilities and project-based workExperience using Microsoft Excel required, including:Pivot TablesVLOOKUP/XLOOKUPReporting and data analysisExposure to Power Query, Macros, VBA, or financial modeling is a plusFamiliarity with BigQuery or similar data/reporting tools is preferred but not requiredSystems knowledge is not required; emphasis is placed on analytical ability and operational problem solvingAbility to work effectively with vendors, distribution centers, supply chain teams, and cross-functional stakeholdersWork EnvironmentFully onsite positionStandard 40-hour work weekFast-paced operational and analytical environment requiring strong attention to detail and follow-through
