We're looking for an experienced Electrical Controls Process Engineer to join our corporate engineering team. In this highly visible role, you'll provide technical leadership across multiple manufacturing facilities, helping improve reliability, efficiency, automation, and electrical safety throughout our operations. This is an opportunity to work on large-scale industrial manufacturing projects while partnering with maintenance teams, plant leadership, and equipment suppliers across the country. What You'll Do As our Electrical Controls Process Engineer, you'll serve as the technical expert for electrical systems and process controls across multiple manufacturing plants. You'll be responsible for: Designing, developing, and improving industrial electrical and control systems Programming, troubleshooting, and modifying PLC systems Supporting AC/DC drives, motors, sensors, and automated production equipment Creating and maintaining electrical drawings, schematics, and documentation Leading electrical troubleshooting efforts on complex manufacturing equipment Conducting Arc Flash studies and ensuring NFPA and OSHA compliance Improving equipment reliability through predictive and preventive maintenance initiatives Evaluating electrical systems to reduce downtime and improve plant performance Supporting capital projects from concept through installation and startup Working with equipment manufacturers and vendors to specify new equipment Researching and implementing new technologies that improve manufacturing processes Managing project timelines while meeting quality, performance, and budget expectations Providing technical guidance and training to plant maintenance teams What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering from an ABET-accredited university 3+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience Experience with industrial electrical systems, motors, drives, and automation Knowledge of AutoCAD and electrical schematics Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems Ability to travel up to 75% to manufacturing facilities throughout the United States Preferred Experience We're especially interested in candidates with experience in: Heavy industrial or discrete manufacturing Process controls engineering Lean Manufacturing CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) Troubleshooting European machinery (Italian or German equipment) Multi-site manufacturing support Industrial automation and continuous improvement initiatives Why You'll Love This Role This isn't just another engineering position.
