Public Information Officer

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION: Any combination equivalent to:Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, public administration, or a related field; andThree years of progressively responsible experience in public information, communications, media relations, marketing, or community engagement, preferably in a public sector or educational environment.ONLY FOR PERMANENT POSITIONS: Effective 7.1.2025: 2025-2026: Salary schedule increase of 2% and a 2% off-schedule payment at year-end. 2026–2027: Salary schedule increase of 60% of the statutory funded COLA, plus any funded ongoing augmentations as provided in the State Budget Act; 2% off-schedule payment at year-end. 2027–2028: Salary schedule increase of 50% of the statutory funded COLA, plus any funded ongoing augmentations as provided in the State Budget Act; 2% off-schedule payment at year-end
