For more information regarding VSP Vision benefits, please click here .General SummaryThe primary function of this role is to assist patients with finding frames, adjustments, troubleshooting, and dispensing eyewear while providing the highest levels of quality and care.Essential FunctionsAttract and retain customers by delivering exceptional customer service, fostering customer retention, and promoting outstanding patient satisfactionGreet and assist customers in the selection of framesAssist patients with adjustments, troubleshooting, and dispensing eyewearEnsure correct pricing and realistic delivery time quotes to patients; contact patients to dispense glassesAbility to provide enthusiastic and concise communication to meet and exceed patient expectations , as well as foster positive relationships with team membersClean and merchandise displays daily; always display effective merchandiseAssist with insurance billing and processing ordersDocument all patient communication in the patient record within the practice software systemWork on special projects, cross-train in different departments, and perform other related duties as assigned or requested Job Specifications Typically Has The Following Skills Or AbilitiesOne to two years of experience in related fieldWorking knowledge of MS Office packageDemonstrated ability to successfully perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentEffective verbal communication skills to prioritize multiple tasks and to be available for incoming calls and inquiriesEffective written communication skills to clearly document customer situations, as well as prepare letters to confirm agreements madeExcellent interpersonal and rapport-building skillsAbility to ask appropriate and relevant questions to identify customer needsProven problem-solving, negotiating, and decision-making skillsAbility to use appropriate discretion and judgment in applying customer/call handling guidelinesAbility to listen, process transactions, and interact with customers simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Working Conditions The working environment is generally favorable.
