*Company Description* The Midlands Workforce Development Board (MWDB) serves Fairfield, Lexington, and Richland Counties in South Carolina as the administrative unit for the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA). MWDB is dedicated to creating an integrated workforce development system that unites resources from various partner agencies to provide exceptional customer-focused services. The board collaborates with local school districts, social service providers, the state vocational rehabilitation agency, the state Department of Employment and Workforce, local community action councils, and private nonprofit organizations. MWDB offers services to youth aged 17 to 24 and adults 18 and over, including job readiness and motivation, job search assistance, job placement, and job retention services. *Role Description* This is an on-site internship role located in Columbia, SC. The intern will assist with various day-to-day tasks, including supporting job search assistance programs, aiding in job readiness preparations, participating in job placement activities, and helping with job retention services. Additional tasks may involve collaborating with partner agencies to enhance service delivery, contributing to program evaluations, and ensuring data accuracy and reporting. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail * Proficiency with social media platforms and basic graphic design tools * Microsoft Office Suite experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * Interest in workforce development and community service * Basic knowledge of job search strategies and employment services * Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a degree program in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Human Resources, Social Work, or related field * Professional demeanor and customer service orientation ​*Application Process* Interested applicants should submit a resume and contact information to TBeagen@midlandsworkforce.org.
