Job title Desktop Support Technician (Field Technician)Location New London, Connecticut 06340Job type 9 months contract with possible extensionShift Schedule 2nd ShiftKey ResponsibilitiesComputer hardware set up, basic hardware and software troubleshooting stillsProvides support for software, hardware and networking support for desktops, laptops and servers.Provides maintenance and support on legacy products. Supports Core, server products.Performs disk replacement on enterprise storage productsInstalls and maintains PCs and associated software, networks, servers and peripheralsSupports network products from operational and maintenance perspectivesPerforms installs, moves, adds and changes as requiredTests and certifies PCs, networks, servers and client approved applicationsProvides follow-up on problems or escalation.Maintains a high degree of professionalism in actions, demeanor and dress.Ensures customer satisfaction throughout the service delivery transaction.Ensures client specific Service Level Agreements are met and incident and request tickets are updated accordingly within the ticketing systemKey Qualifications1+ Years of hands-on experience with laptop and desktop break-fix.Computer-building Background Experience Preferred.General knowledge of laptop / desktop hardware and software including basic knowledge of Microsoft applications.Ability to resolve basic / non-complex problems as directed.Preferred QualificationsExperience with replacement of motherboards and LCDsExperience with Deskside supportExperience with Computer Hardware Repair Field experience
