Together, these teams help us make the best possible decisions for our airline, to run our business with integrity, ensuring our airline operates lawfully and ethically, creating a company we are all proud to work for.Job Overview And ResponsibilitiesThe Transactions Manager will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, revising, and negotiating sales agreements and other commercial contracts, while working under the supervision of a managing attorney on the Commercial Transactions team of the Legal Department. The successful candidate is expected to work independently with internal clients at various levels, as well as with outside parties and customers of United.The Transactions Manager will primarily provide support for transactions, agreements and initiatives of United’s Worldwide Sales organization. This role requires becoming proficient in both the sales programs that United offers its customers and the incentive programs that the sales organization offers travel management companies, as well as developing expertise in United's commercial and operational policies. The role requires strong organizational skills to coordinate the completion of reviews of sales and commercial agreements with internal stakeholders and to negotiate edits with outside parties.Responsibilities include reviewing, revising, drafting, and assisting in the negotiation of a wide range of commercial agreements, including:Corporate travel agreementsTravel Management Company (TMC) agreementsAmendments and addenda to commercial transactionsNon-disclosure agreementsSponsorship agreementsPromotional agreements Revenue guarantee agreementsReleases and indemnitiesConsulting service agreements Event contracts with vendors Hotel contractsSustainable aviation fuel agreementsOther agreements, letters, and policies Developing, updating, and maintaining contract templates, forms, and guidelinesWorking on projects and performing legal research on various topics as assignedQualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experienceFinance, Business, Pre-lawParalegal CertificationStrong working knowledge of commercial contract principles and procedures4+ years working as a transactions manager or a commercial paralegal in a law firm or large publicly traded companyStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and strong planning/organization abilitiesEffective problem-solving and decision-making skillsTeam player with the ability to multi-task and balance competing priorities with shortKnowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etcMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the positionWhat will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):Airline experienceExperience with airline sales programs, including corporate travel programs and travel management company incentives The base pay range for this role is $102,220.00 to $133,194.00.The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills.
