This role provides hands-on experience analyzing production processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency, and helping implement practical solutions that improve safety, quality, and productivity.This is an excellent opportunity for a student to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while contributing to meaningful operational improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in conducting time studies to evaluate labor efficiency and establish standard work timesSupport value stream mapping efforts on specific products to identify waste and improve flowParticipate in evaluations of manual welding processes compared to potential robotic welding opportunitiesHelp develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and qualityContribute to small-scale production improvement projects, including implementation and follow-upCollect, analyze, and present data to support decision-makingCollaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiativesQualificationsCurrently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related fieldStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to observe processes and identify improvement opportunitiesEffective communication and teamwork skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data analysis tools is a plusInterest in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial operationsPreferred Skills (Not Required)Exposure to Lean Manufacturing principlesBasic understanding of welding or fabrication processesExperience with process mapping or time studies Powered by JazzHR
