Manufacturing EngineerOnsite - Northwest HoustonWe're working with a growing industrial services and manufacturing organization that's expanding its capabilities around gas turbine component repair and manufacturing.This isn't a desk-heavy design role. It's a hands-on manufacturing engineering position focused on improving how work actually gets done on the shop floor—machining, welding, fabrication, and repair processes.This client of ours is in the process of revamping their manufacturing processes progressing more into a cellular, lean, small batch process. On top of that, they are investing into new technologies optimizing their capabilities as it relates to machining, coating, welding, etc.What You'll Be DoingImprove machining, welding, and fabrication processes for turbine component repairDevelop standard work, routers, and work instructions to drive consistency and efficiencyOptimize cutting tools, speeds/feeds, and machining strategiesSupport CNC operations and troubleshoot production issues alongside the shop teamPartner with plant engineering and operations on cycle time, cost, and quality improvementsHelp evaluate new technologies, repair methods, and vendorsSupport inspection processes and measurement methods (manual + automated)What They're Looking ForBackground in manufacturing engineering, repair engineering, or process engineeringExperience in heavy machining, fabrication, or component repair environmentsExperience designing lean manufacturing processes
