About The TeamThe Virtual Preparatory Academy of Georgia is a statewide tuition-free online program serving grades K-12. Our online program curriculum offers rich and engaging content carefully designed to meet the standards required by the state of Georgia. At Virtual Preparatory Academy of Georgia, students are engaged in academics, participating in various activities and assessments appropriate to the courses being studied, including labs, journals, written assignments, discussions, group and individual projects, formative assessments, objective tests, and written exams.ACCEL Schools is seeking highly qualified Virtual Student Success Coach in Georgia for our 2026-2027 school year!Please note – while this is an online school position and all instruction occurs virtually, travel and face to face attendance will be required several times per year to support in person state testing and student events.Eligibility: Open to residents of Georgia.About The OpportunitySupport new and returning students and families through the onboarding process and completion of required tasksReview transcripts and offer guidance to students and families on class selections in order to support career advising, create a schedule, and confirm grade level placementOngoing course planning and academic support as requiredServe as the primary point of contact for school administration in developing plans to address barriers to full achievement of attendance, academic, and behavioral goalsFacilitate Advisory sessions and implementation of a Life Skills curriculumResponsible for tracking and reporting data as directed by supervisorCollaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and other school staff to ascertain students’ academic needs and create an academic remediation plan and provide support towards completion of planWork with overage students and develop plan to help get back on track for graduation in coordination with teachersProvide research-based strategies to give students and parents the necessary skills and knowledge to help them communicate effectively with teachers and administrators in order to ensure student goals are metFacilitate individual and group training/support and provide academic resources to help students increase academic achievementCollaborate with students regularly to check in on progress in classes, keeping students accountable for achieving their academics, attendance, engagement, and behavioral goalsWork in Partnership with teachers and parents on evaluation of student progress and implementation of student objectivesMaintain effective communication with teaching staff on student progress and concernsConduct conferences with parents and studentsPrepare for and/or attend student gatheringsProvide parent workshops and other activities to ensure quality delivery of servicesMaintain accurate documentation of student performance, progress, needs, and academic supportTravels to support testing efforts within the state as neededPerform other duties as assignedAbout YouBachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Services, Related Field2+ years of experience working with students preferredGeorgia residency preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite ProductsAbility to handle confidential information responsibly and exhibit sound judgment while maintaining that confidentialityDemonstrates a reliable, dependable, and trustworthy work ethicAbility to manage difficult or emotional client situationsAbility to make sound judgments after all available information has been gathered or communicatedDemonstrates a mature attitude and insight into matters affecting department, self and / or company welfareExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work well under pressure, effectively prioritizing and executing tasks to meet deadlines consistentlyCustomer service orientedAbility to learn new technologies and acquire new skills through independent study, professional training, and from more senior team membersPrior administrative assistance experience preferredPrior experience working in a school setting preferredAbility to work independently and contribute to a teamUnderstanding and ability to manage confidential informationAbility to lift 25 lbs.Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks About Us“We believe that every child should be able to be anything they want in life, regardless of their birthplace and circumstances.” – Ron Packard, CEO & FounderACCEL Schools is a network of 80+ high-performing, public charter schools serving PK-12 students.
