Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Weekend Warrior

Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support to individuals in our Assisted Living community. This position will work weekends, and have weekdays off. This position may also pick up additional shifts if desired. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, and enhancing the overall quality of life for our clients. This role requires a patient, empathetic, and reliable individual who can deliver high-quality care and support. Duties: - Provide assistance and care to the residents, including assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. - Assist with personal care tasks such as toileting, transferring, and lifting as needed. - Administer medications according to the client's medication schedule and under the supervision of a licensed nurse. - Engage in social activities with clients, promoting social skills and encouraging independence. - Implement behavior management strategies to support clients with challenging behaviors. - Participate in memory care activities and assist clients with memory care routines. - Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients. - Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals. - Document client care and support activities in a timely and accurate manner. Experience: - Previous experience in caregiving or working with seniors is highly preferred. - Experience in direct support or social work is a plus. - Experience in home care or memory care is also desirable. - Ability to lift and transfer clients as needed. - Familiarity with medication administration is an asset. Skills: - Caregiving and direct support experience. - Experience working with people with developmental disabilities. - Knowledge of social work principles and practices. - Experience in home care and memory care. - Ability to lift and transfer clients as needed. - Familiarity with medication administration. - Experience in behavior management. - Excellent communication and documentation skills.
