We create high-energy, design-forward spaces that bring people together through food, drink, and culture.We currently own and operate 7 properties and are entering a major growth phase with several new restaurant openings actively in development and additional real estate opportunities on the horizon. To support this growth we are building a best-in-class internal finance and accounting function that operates with speed, clarity and precision.  THE ROLEWe are hiring a Director of Finance to serve as the financial and strategic right hand to our CEO and leadership team.This is not a back-office accounting role. The Director of Finance is an integral senior leader responsible for the decision-making infrastructure that will allow Electric Hospitality to scale with confidence. You will own the numbers, drive the insight and help shape how we grow.You will report directly to the CEO, oversee finance and accounting, and work closely with operations, development, and key external partners. The ideal candidate can both build the systems and lead the function — moving fluidly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution when the moment demands it.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES1. Financial Strategy & LeadershipServe as the senior finance leader and strategic partner to the CEO and executive teamTranslate financial performance into clear, actionable guidance that drives operational and investment decisionsDevelop and maintain a financial roadmap aligned to growth, capital needs, and profitability targetsOwn the company's financial narrative — internally for leadership and externally for lenders, investors, and partners2. Financial Planning & AnalysisLead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning across all entities and conceptsOwn weekly/monthly/quarterly financial KPI dashboardBuild and maintain unit-level P&L models, consolidated financials, and cash flow forecastingDevelop scenario models and budgets for new unit openings, concept launches, and capital investmentsPartner with operations on labor, COGS, and margin improvement initiatives 3. Accounting & Reporting OversightOversee accounting team’s monthly, quarterly, and annual close across all entities (target: ≤10 business days)Ensure accurate, timely, and consistent financial reporting across all restaurant concepts and locationsDeliver clear financial dashboards for leadership — unit-level P&Ls, consolidated view, cash visibilityIdentify and communicate variances vs. budget and prior periods with root-cause insight4. Capital, Cash & TreasuryManage cash flow, cash positioning, forecasting, and liquidity planning across the portfolioSupport capital raises, debt facilities and lender relationships as the company growsOversee bank relationships, covenant reporting, and debt compliance obligationsPartner on real estate, development and new concept financial structuring5. Controls, Compliance & RiskMaintain strong internal controls across all locations and entitiesEnsure compliance with sales tax, payroll tax, alcohol licensing, and entity-level obligationsCoordinate with external CPA firm and legal on tax strategy, filings, and year-end audit or reviewIdentify and mitigate financial, operational, and reporting risks before they become problems6. Systems, Infrastructure & TechnologyOwn and optimize the finance and accounting tech stackBuild scalable processes for AP/AR, inventory accounting, POS reconciliation, and reportingContinually improve efficiency across finance and accounting by automating tasks, reducing manual entry, improving data accuracy and accelerating core processes7. Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead, manage and grow the finance and accounting team Own and maintain standards for accuracy, accountability, and timeliness across the teamChampion a culture of servant leadership and continuous improvement IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILEExperience8–12+ years in finance and accounting, with meaningful leadership tenurePrior experience as Director of Finance, Head of Finance or Controller — ideally in a multi-unit restaurant or hospitality groupProven track record of building finance and accounting functions from early stage through growth stageExperience partnering directly with a CEO or executive team in a strategic capacityMulti-unit hospitality, restaurant, or retail background strongly preferredTechnical SkillsDeep knowledge of GAAP and multi-entity financial reportingStrong financial modeling and FP&A capabilities — not just reporting, but forecasting and scenario planningExperience with restaurant accounting platforms (Restaurant365, Toast, etc.) and general accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite)Proficiency with cash flow forecasting, POS integrations, revenue reconciliation, food & labor cost modeling, and NRO budgets Leadership & MindsetStrategic thinker who can zoom out to see the full picture — and zoom in to fix what's brokenOperator mentality: builds systems, not just reportsExceptional communicator — can translate complex financials into clear, concise decisions for non-finance leadersHigh ownership, high accountability, comfortable in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environmentGenuinely excited by the restaurant and hospitality industry — not just passing throughWHY THIS ROLE MATTERSThe Director of Finance at Electric Hospitality will help determine how we grow, where we invest, and what we build next.
