Receiving-Material Handler

Section C: Essential Functions Follow and demonstrate company safety rules in accordance with OSHA regulations such as: Wearing PPE safety shoes, safety glasses, goggles, ear plugs, and gloves. Ensure that the area complies with all OSHA standards. Verify materials with driver’s paperwork as well as internal documents, ensuring all appropriate certifications and documentation is correct and in place. Unload, inspect, inventory, document tag, and deliver materials and components to appropriate storage location in an accurate and organized manner. Review job order paperwork for material requirements and consult with Operators on the order of material usage. Accurately stage, move, store, and organize raw materials, parts, and finished materials to support Operations. Assist with conducting inventory checks and cycle counts. Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas. Maintain assigned equipment as directed Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. Must be able to read and interpret BOL’s, shipping lists, Purchase Orders, and other documents as well as write legibly. Must possess a high degree of organization, attention to detail, be a self-starter, and remain engaged. Must be capable of operating various material handling equipment, including forklifts, side-lifts, and overhead cranes. Must possess good verbal and written communication skillsSection E: Physical/Visual/Mental DemandsPhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, manually manipulate, and reach outward. The employee frequently is required to reach above the shoulder and climb and occasionally required to sit, crawl, squat and kneel, and bend.
