Full Stack Java Senior Associate ( Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Cloud, MQ)
Overview:
In this role you will be a technical expert for one or more core applications, collaborating with business analysts and infrastructure teams to design, optimize, and deploy enterprise software. You will influence architectures, ensure performance and security, and drive continuous delivery and testing across teams. You'll work on complex problems that shape the reliability and scalability of DTCC's platforms and contribute to a culture of responsible risk management. Responsibilities:
- Serve as technical expert for DTCC applications
- Collaborate with Business System Analysts to ensure designs meet requirements
- Partner with Infrastructure to deploy hosting environments
- Tune application performance and resolve issues
- Research and evaluate technical solutions aligned with DTCC standards
- Incorporate risk and control into daily responsibilities and escalate as needed
- Apply suitable software development methodologies per project
- Contribute to design of components and participate in testing
- Support development, testing, troubleshooting, and production activities
- Create applications and unit tests ensuring functional/non-functional requirements
- Advance continuous integration/delivery practices with peers
- Align risk/control processes in daily work; escalate appropriately
Key requirements:
- 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
- Expert Java development (Core Java, Java EE) and Spring (Boot/Cloud) including REST API design
- Proven experience leading microservices architecture and domain modeling
- Strong web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, JSON) and REST/SOAP integrations
- Strong Oracle SQL/PLSQL, data modeling, performance tuning
- Containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes (OpenShift a plus)CI/CD ownership with Git/Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, Jira
- Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, Selenium, Jasmine/Karma)
- Messaging/integration (MQ, Kafka); event-driven design
- Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban); security-by-design (OAuth, JWT)
