Benchmark Engineer

A company is looking for a Benchmark Engineer to measure, validate, and communicate performance metrics effectively. Key Responsibilities Design and maintain reproducible benchmarks for vector search and distributed workloads Evaluate performance metrics including latency, throughput, and memory usage Build and maintain benchmarking tooling and collaborate with engineers to identify optimization opportunities Required Qualifications Strong software engineering background (Rust, Python, Go, or similar) Solid understanding of databases, distributed systems, or search engines Experience with performance testing, profiling, and benchmarking Ability to reason about trade-offs in performance metrics Comfort working with large datasets and automation pipelines
