2nd Shift - Laser Operator

Job Title: Laser Operator (Flat Laser) Salary: Based off of experience Shift: 2nd Shift - 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm M-F, Overtime Fridays as needed 1st Shift - 5:30 AM to 2:30 PM M-F Summary: The laser operator position safely performs laser cutting operations and selects the proper cutting programs / fixtures for a variety of manufacturing products Job Responsibilities: Keep work area clean and safe Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point Make proper set-ups for cutting operations Perform prescribed maintenance as required Perform all dimensional inspections Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor Perform variety of other tasks as required by production Qualifications / Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Strong work ethic and excellent attendance 2+ years prior laser operator experience Attention to detail, self-motivated and able to shift priorities Leadership skills Strong orientation towards quality, safety and continuous improvement Competent at dimensional measuring and solid understanding of precision measurement tools Competent at basic shop math Able to read blueprints Able to work as a team and coordinate work with other departments Physical Requirements: Level of Physical Demand Occasional Frequent Consistent Physical Activity 0-33% of the time 34-66% of the time 67-100% of the time Sitting X Standing X Walking X Lifting 1-50 lb Carrying 1-50lb Pushing 1-50 lb Twisting x Reaching X Stooping X Crouching X Manipulating (Fine Motor Skills) X Extreme Temps X Exposure to Cleaning Supplies x
