This hybrid position is based in San Francisco, CA, with a mix of on-site work at client locations and some work-from-home tasks such as remote monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing hardware and connectivity issues, performing routine maintenance, managing consumables, and coordinating repairs or replacements with vendors. The specialist will also ensure devices are integrated securely into networks, maintain accurate inventory and service records, and provide clear guidance and training to users on best practices and proper equipment use.Qualifications Hands-on experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of printers, copiers, and large-format plotters.Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, drivers, print queues, and network connectivity issues in Windows and macOS environments.Knowledge of print server management, device networking (TCP/IP), and basic security practices for networked peripherals.Ability to manage supplies and parts inventory, coordinate with vendors, and track service tickets and maintenance schedules.Clear, professional communication skills for supporting end users, documenting procedures, and collaborating with IT and operations teams.Experience in business IT support or managed services environments is preferred; familiarity with SMB office workflows is beneficial.Capacity to work safely on-site in San Francisco, CA, with reliable transportation for visiting client locations as needed.High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in IT support, hardware repair, or networking is a plus.
