We maintain exceptionally high standards and areproud of the culture we have created.The Solar Service Technician Manager oversees the maintenance, troubleshooting, andperformance of residential solar energy systems. This role combines leadershipresponsibilities with hands-on fieldwork, ensuring service quality, team efficiency, andcustomer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is both technically skilled and comfortablemanaging people, processes, and service operations.Key ResponsibilitiesService Management & OperationsManage day-to-day service operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and workflow coordinationOversee preventative maintenance and corrective service activities for solar PV systems Monitor system performance and ensure timely resolution of service issuesMaintain service records, reports, and documentation for all projectsTeam LeadershipSupervise, train, and support service techniciansProvide technical guidance and troubleshooting assistanceConduct performance reviews and support ongoing team developmentPromote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvementField Support (Hands-On Work)Perform occasional field service work including diagnostics, repairs, and system inspectionsAssist with complex troubleshooting and escalated service callsEnsure adherence to safety standards and company procedures in the fieldCustomer RelationsServe as a point of contact for escalated customer concernsEnsure high levels of customer satisfaction through clear communication and timely serviceProvide technical explanations and recommendations to customers when neededCompliance & SafetyEnsure all work complies with local codes, regulations, and company safety policiesConduct safety audits and enforce best practicesMaintain knowledge of industry standards and emerging technologiesQualifications3–7+ years of experience in solar PV installation, maintenance, or servicePrior leadership or supervisory experience preferredStrong knowledge of solar systems, inverters, monitoring platforms, and electrical systemsAbility to troubleshoot and diagnose system issues effectivelyComfortable performing occasional fieldwork (including roof access and outdoor conditions)Strong organizational and communication skillsValid driver’s license and clean driving recordPreferred SkillsNABCEP certification (or willingness to obtain)Experience with service management software or CRM toolsElectrical license (state-specific, if applicable)Work EnvironmentCombination of office-based coordination and field service workFieldwork may include rooftops, attics, and outdoor environments in varying weather conditionsModerate physical activity requiredBenefits: Competitive CompensationPaid TrainingCompany vehicle or mileage reimbursementFull Benefits Package includingHealthVisionDentalShort and Long-Term DisabilityLife Insurance401KAttractive Vacation, Sick and Holiday PayEmployee Referral ProgramThe ideal candidate will have a passion for solar PV, an interest in mitigating climate change, and a desire to build distributed solar resources across the D/M/V utilizing innovative programs.
