The concept is simple: combine the experience of a buttery-smooth, elegant design tool with the infrastructure required to go to production.We seek a talented full stack engineer with experience in TypeScript, React, and Node.js to join the team responsible for Makeswift’s API, infrastructure, and core integrations.You'll work with our engineering team to implement improvements that enhance reliability, expand test coverage, and help us build a more resilient platform that supports our ambitious roadmap.What You'll DoExpand end-to-end test coverage to improve platform stabilityFix bugs identified through our bug tracking systems across frontend and backendRefactor components and services to reduce technical debt and improve maintainabilityBuild and improve observability tools to help identify and diagnose issuesImplement performance optimizations in both UI and API layersContribute to the authorization refactor projectAssist with instrumentation improvements for better system monitoringOptimize database queries and API performanceHelp document best practices and contribute to technical specificationsWho You AreMust-Haves2-4 years of experience as a full stack engineerStrong proficiency in TypeScript with production experienceExperience with React and modern frontend development practicesExperience with Node.js backend developmentUnderstanding of RESTful and GraphQL APIsExperience writing automated tests (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, etc.)Familiarity with database technologies and basic optimization techniquesBasic knowledge of CI/CD workflowsGood problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentGood written and verbal communication skillsNice-to-HavesExperience with cloud platforms, particularly GCPFamiliarity with monitoring and logging toolsExperience with Next.js and the App RouterExperience with NestJS frameworkKnowledge of performance optimization techniques for web applicationsBackground in visual editing or design toolsUnderstanding of responsive design principlesExperience participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedbackWork OptionsThe position is on-site/hybrid (3 days per week) in Atlanta, GAHiring ProcessSkillsWe focus our hiring process on understanding your problem-solving and analytical skills.
