Please visit our website for more detail and to meet our team. www.altekelectronics.comThe Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Incoming Inspector at Altek Electronics are described below:Position SummaryThe Incoming Inspector is responsible for inspecting a variety of incoming electrical/electronic components for the manufacturing of printed circuit boards, cables, and harnesses.Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the SMT Machine Operator I at AltekIncludes the following, other duties may be assigned:Inspects purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, supplier certificate of conformance and supporting paperwork, and materials for conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices:Examines items for defects in materials, work, and damage occurring in transit.Compares quantity and part number of items received with procurement data and other specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of order.Inspects and measures items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment, and functional operation, according to blueprints, parts manuals, company or military standards, and other specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices.Approves or rejects items, and records inspection and disposition information.May prepare inspection procedure outlines for reference use in subsequent inspections, using data obtained from blueprints, customer specifications, and catalogsDistribute chemicals to manufacturing areas on a daily basisDetermine conformance to work instructions, IPC or J-STD standards, and internal quality/workmanship standardsSupports supervisors and/or operators in the resolution of quality problemsMaintain quality records including inspection reports, corrective action reports, etc.Write Non-Conforming Materials Reports when requiredActively participates in quality initiatives by participating in problem solving, process improvements and performance measurements.Responsible for understanding & following company, and or manufacturing guidelines/proceduresResponsible for product quality as defined by internal and external customers, work instructions, specifications and procedures.Responsible for following established safety rules & 6SKnowledge and Skill RequirementsStrong communication skillsAbility to read & understand assembly printsAbility to work in a team environment with minimal supervisionEducation and/or ExperienceMust have a high school diploma or GEDElectronic component recognitionIPC 610/620 certified or become certified with an agreed upon time frame (training is provided)Working ConditionsWorking conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
