Intern Software Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!The Role• Design and develop solutions utilizing custom packaged insurance software.• Develop custom applications using languages such as Java, SpringBoot, JavaScript, React/Redux, or Python.• Work with automation tools and version control systems like GitHub.• Gain experience with a variety of IT resources to enhance or develop new applications.• Utilize scripting languages and work with SQL and relational databases.What You'll Need• Must be enrolled at least half-time in a college degree program for the entire internship duration, studying computer science, information systems, or a related field.• Ability to commit to a 12-month or longer internship, working full-time during the summer and part-time during the school year.• Understanding of coding and basic principles of application development.• Strong verbal and written communication skills.• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.What's On Offer• Competitive hourly wage of $13.33 - $26.67.• Exposure to cloud environments like AWS and potentially AI-driven coding tools.• Opportunity to work on long-term projects (12+ months).• A commitment to professional development, inclusion, and diversity.Apply via Haystack today!
