ServiceNow Tech Lead Location: Beaverton, OR or RemoteDuration: 6+ month contractApex Systems is supporting a leading sportswear company in hiring a PMS ServiceNow Developer!Top Requirements:5 years of ServiceNow experience – primarily ITSM but also ITAM, ITOMExcellent communication skillsJavascript experience for WebportalIntegrating APIs in ServiceNowScope and Responsibilities: As our ServiceNow Developer, you will work on ServiceNow, primarily in ITSM but also ITAM, ITOM developing solutions that will include configuration, development, and operational support tasks for all aspects of the ServiceNow platform including standard configuration, security, data management, reporting and integrations with third party applications while ensuring that data integrity and best practices are maintained.This role will work closely with process owners and stakeholders to design and deliver technical solutions via SCRUM methodology that solve problems while supporting the long-term health of the ServiceNow platform.Experience Required: Develop and maintain solutions using standard platform functionalitySolution design, architecture and diagramming based on platform capability and stakeholder feedbackExperience with multiple major version upgrades and system patches; explain the common upgrade issues caused by custom developmentAPI Integrations and Automation across a variety of external platforms and toolsThorough understanding of security in the instance; know when to use client vs server (or both) methods for optimizing user experience while still maintaining system performance and data integrityWorked in a team development environment where multiple developers utilized the same path-to-prod and release cadenceExperience activating and upgrading ServiceNow plugins; know when it is appropriate to use an OOB plugin vs. custom developmentPerformance troubleshooting and benchmarking in the instanceAuthoring and maintaining technical documentationUse analytical skills to investigate issues, find solutions to problems, and improve processesUtilize an Agile/Scrum methodology to manage development workQualifications: Bachelor's degree required with 5+ years in an applications development roleMinimum of 5 years of experience working in the ServiceNow platform as a Developer, including the implementation, administration, configuration, development and customization of core applications in an enterprise environmentServiceNow experience should include scripting in ServiceNow, tool configuration, design work, technical configuration and deployment.
