Location: Elizabeth, New Jersey (Full-time, On-site)Pay: $75,000 – $100,000 per year Position OverviewOn behalf of our client, an established and highly successful New York-based plaintiff-side personal injury law firm, we are seeking a seasoned Senior Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join their brand-new, expanding office in Elizabeth, New Jersey.This is a direct-hire, permanent career opportunity for a high-level legal professional with deep expertise in New Jersey litigation. As a founding member of the NJ support team, you will have a unique opportunity to help shape the workflow of this new location while backed by the resources, reputation, and financial stability of a powerhouse New York practice.Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will work closely with lead attorneys to launch and drive the litigation lifecycle for complex New Jersey cases (including catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and medical malpractice).Advanced Case Management: Autonomously oversee a diverse and growing caseload, establishing efficient workflows for the new NJ office.High-Level Legal Drafting: Prepare complex pleadings, motions, comprehensive discovery requests, and robust discovery responses tailored to NJ court requirements.Medical & Case Analysis: Review, analyze, and chronologically summarize extensive medical records, expert reports, and financial loss documentation.Trial Mastery: Lead comprehensive trial preparation, including organizing trial binders, managing exhibits, preparing witnesses, and providing critical courtroom support.Strategic Liaison: Serve as the primary, professional point of contact for New Jersey clients, expert witnesses, medical providers, and opposing counsel.Legal Research: Conduct sophisticated legal and factual research utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and NJ state databases.Team Growth: Assist in implementing best practices and provide mentorship to junior legal staff as the office continues to expand.Candidate QualificationsExperience: Minimum of 5+ years of dedicated Personal Injury paralegal experience (plaintiff-side litigation in New Jersey is strictly required).NJ Court Expertise: Comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of New Jersey court rules, filing procedures (e-filing), and statutory deadlines.Analytical Skills: Advanced ability to dissect complex medical-legal issues and identify critical case components with minimal supervision.Software Proficiency: Strong experience with legal research tools (Westlaw/LexisNexis) and case management software.Attributes: Laser-sharp attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset comfortable with an expanding office environment.Languages: Spanish language proficiency is highly valued (preferred but not required).About Our ClientOur client is a prominent, litigation-focused personal injury law firm that has built a stellar reputation representing individuals and families in New York.
