Senior Accountant

Purpose:The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the company’s accounting operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and regulatory filings. This role will work closely with finance leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with U.S. accounting standards.The position also provides an opportunity to collaborate with the reporting requirements for the company’s international parent organization.Job Responsibilities:Month-End ClosePrepare and post journal entries during the monthly close processAssist in maintaining the general ledger and supporting schedulesEnsure timely completion of month-end and year-end close activitiesFinancial ReportingPrepare monthly financial statements and internal reporting packagesAssist in variance analysis and provide explanations for financial resultsSupport preparation of consolidation packages for the parent companyAccount ReconciliationsPerform and maintain balance sheet account reconciliationsInvestigate and resolve reconciling items and discrepanciesMaintain proper documentation for audit supportCompliance & FilingsSupport preparation of statutory filings and regulatory reportsAssist with external audits and tax preparationEnsure accounting practices comply with U.S. GAAP and company policiesProcess ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controlsAssist with implementation or enhancement of financial systems and reporting toolsCross-Functional CollaborationWork with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reportingPartner with finance leadership on special projects and ad hoc analysisSupport integration and reporting alignment with the international parent companyAccounting & Operational SupportPrepare weekly, monthly, quarterly reports assignedManager expense report processing including setting up of new users and review of report entry for posting to the general ledgerProvide backup support for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions as neededAdditional responsibilities as assignedEssential Functions:Possess a high level of autonomy and self-motivationInitiative-taking thinker who uses strong critical thinking and critical thinking skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and switch focus efficiently Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage confidential information in a professional and discreet mannerStrong organizational skills and attention to detailRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance3+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAPExperience with general ledger accounting and month-end closeAdvanced Excel skillsPreferences:     CPA or CPA candidateExperience working with an international or multinational companyExperience with ERP accounting system implementationPrior experience supporting external auditsPerks:401(k) and 401(k) matchingHealth, Dental, and Vision insuranceLife insurancePaid time offBonus
