Accounting Analyst

An aviation company in White Plains is looking to fill an immediate need with the addition of a new Accounting Analyst to their team.ResponsibilitiesAbility to work with outside auditors, Atlas accounting, and finance personnel on Accounting reports and data analysisManage the Month-End Close process to support appropriate accounting including but not limited to prepaid, accrued liability and direct expensesDevelop/maintain invoice account coding process for all invoicesWork closely with vendors to obtain and verify all invoice supporting documentationPrepare analysis to ensure accurate expense recognition in accordance with GAAPPartner with the Manager, Finance-Ground Operations with annual/semi-annual budgetAssist with analyzing large groups of data for reporting and budget needs as requestedQualificationsMinimum 3-5 years accounting or finance experienceExperience working with public reporting companiesExperience reconciling Balance Sheet accountsAvailable to work extended hours as neededExperience researching accounting issuesStrong IT systems knowledge including WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPointKnowledge of Sarbanes Oxley, particularly Section 404JD Edwards software experience helpfulAirline experience a plusDesired SkillsBachelor s degree in Accounting requiredCPA a plus
