Kubernetes / Platform Engineer

Cleveland, OHOverviewWe are seeking a hands-on Kubernetes / Platform Engineer to support a cloud-native environment focused on microservices and Azure-based infrastructure. This role will play a key part in managing Kubernetes clusters, supporting development teams, and ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable platform operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, performance, and reliability
- Implement and enforce cluster policies, security controls, and best practices
- Support microservices running in distributed, multi-cluster environments with failover
- Partner with development teams to enable efficient product delivery
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance
- Contribute to infrastructure automation and cloud platform improvements
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes 5+ years of experience in cloud-native development, including:
- Microservices architecture
- Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- DevOps tools and practices
- Experience working in distributed systems / clustered environments
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Azure and Azure networking (configuration & troubleshooting)
- Experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CDFamiliarity with Argo CDExperience with Terraform or other IaC tools
- Knowledge of OAuth, APIs, and Azure API Management (APIM)
- Experience with HashiCorp Vault
- Exposure to Apache Camel for integrations
- Strong experience with Java / Spring Boot (nice to have)
Certifications:

- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
