Accounting Manager
JOB PURPOSE
The Manager of Accounting is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of Relevium Pain Specialists and its affiliated entities, including clinic and surgery center operations. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, timely month-end close, strong internal controls, and compliance with GAAP and healthcare regulatory standards. The position supports organizational growth by building scalable processes, strengthening financial integrity, and partnering with operational leaders to improve financial visibility and accountability.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Manage the monthly close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, payroll allocations, intercompany transactions, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Maintain integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts.
Oversee accounts payable, vendor management, and 1099 compliance.
Monitor accounts receivable aging and collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper revenue recognition and reconciliation.
Support implementation and optimization of ERP systems.
Strengthen accounting policies, documentation, and internal controls.
Assist in monthly financial reporting packages and supporting schedules.
Supervise and develop accounting staff as the department expands.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulatory requirements.
Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this role.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
CPA preferred but not required.
Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
Healthcare industry experience preferred.
Experience in multi-entity or private equity-backed environments preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual-based accounting.
Experience with ERP systems, NetSuite experience preferred.
Experience with Payables System (Ramp/Concur or similar systems preferred).
Experience with QuickBooks online preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
Strong understanding of internal controls and audit processes.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills with internal and external partners.
