Cloud Architect - Remote Diagnostics & Connected Services

Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Cloud Architect – RemoteDiagnostics to define and guide the architecture of cloud basedremote diagnostics and troubleshooting platforms for connectedproducts. The role focuses on modernizing legacy architectures,enabling scalable, API driven solutions, and supporting cloud todevice communication models to enable advanced diagnostics andremote troubleshooting capabilities.This position plays a key role in shaping enterprise grade, scalableplatforms that integrate vehicle, cloud, and enterprise systems whilesupporting future ready diagnostic workflows.Responsibilities:Cloud Architecture & Modernization• Define end to end cloud architectures for remote diagnosticsand troubleshooting platforms spanning device, cloud, andenterprise systems• Lead the modernization of legacy, stateful systems towardstateless, API driven architectures• Establish architectural principles for scalability, modularity,and long term maintainabilityRemote Diagnostics & Platform Integration• Architect a unified remote diagnostics and troubleshootingecosystem by integrating existing platforms and enterpriseapplications• Define integration patterns using REST APIs, asynchronouscallbacks, and event driven mechanisms• Enable seamless orchestration across diagnostics services,analytics platforms, and enterprise backendsDiagnostics Workflow Enablement• Design platform level architecture to support:o Advanced remote troubleshooting workflowso Automated diagnostics and orchestration flowso Consistent service oriented interaction models• Ensure architecture supports non disruptive evolution ofdiagnostic capabilities over timeCloud to Device & IoT Communication• Define architectures for cloud to device communication usingIoT and messaging based patterns• Support use cases such as:o Remote diagnostics initiationo Device state synchronizationo Asynchronous command and response flows• Enable scalable device onboarding and interaction modelssuitable for large fleetsScalability, Reliability & Observability• Design architectures capable of supporting high volume,distributed deployments• Define patterns for:o Horizontal scalabilityo High availability and resiliencyo Monitoring, logging, and operational visibility• Ensure diagnostic platforms meet expected performance andresponsiveness requirementsCloud Platform Leadership• Architect cloud solutions using AWS and/or Azure, including:o API and microservices platformso Messaging and streaming frameworkso Cloud native data and integration services• Define reference architectures using:o Containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes)o Cloud native deployment and scaling mechanismsStakeholder & Architecture Governance• Act as a technical authority for cloud and platformarchitecture discussions• Collaborate with product, engineering, and platform teams totranslate requirements into architectural solutions• Create and maintain architecture artifacts such as:o System context diagramso Logical and physical architecture viewso Integration and interaction flowsRequirements:Required Skills & Experience• 12–15+ years of professional experience, with strong focus oncloud and distributed systems architecture• Proven experience designing remote diagnostics, connectedsystems, or IoT based platforms• Strong expertise in:• Stateless API based architectures• Microservices and event driven systems• IoT or messaging based communication models• Experience integrating legacy systems into modern cloudplatforms• Hands on architecture experience with AWS and/or Azure• Strong ability to communicate architectural concepts todiverse technical stakeholders• Strong analytical and problem solving mindset• Clear communication and architecture storytelling skills• Ability to balance technical, operational, and scalability tradeoffs• Comfortable working across cross functional and globallydistributed teamsPreferred Skills:• Exposure to service oriented diagnostic architectures• Experience with remote operations or lifecycle supportplatforms• Familiarity with enterprise aftersales, service tools, or fleetplatforms• Experience supporting multi region or large scale deployments
