Your expertise will help improve quality of life for patients of all ages, from children to seniors, in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.DutiesConduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including patient history, mental status examinations, and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-10 coding standards.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology, therapy modalities, and behavioral health interventions.Prescribe medications such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, and botulinum toxin treatments when appropriate, ensuring compliance with state regulations.Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting medications and treatment strategies based on clinical response and side effects.Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, medication management, and lifestyle modifications to foster recovery and resilience.ExperienceValid certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with active licensure in the state of practice.Demonstrated experience in behavioral health settings with proficiency in psychiatric medication management and patient assessment.Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth for documentation and clinical workflows.Experience working with diverse populations including children (pediatrics), geriatrics (memory care), assisted living residents, or individuals with developmental disabilities.Knowledge of acute care environments such as hospitals (Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center experience), inpatient units, or emergency rooms is highly desirable.Background in clinical research or participation in teaching hospital programs adds value to your application.Skills in trauma-informed care practices, crisis intervention (triage), pain management strategies, and infection control protocols are advantageous.
