Educational Interpreter - Lillington, NC

Provide specialized American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation services to support a middle school student in an educational setting. This contract role is based onsite in Lillington, North Carolina, and is designed to facilitate effective communication and learning for the student.Location:Onsite at a middle school in Lillington, NCKey Responsibilities:Deliver 1:1 sign language interpretation for a middle school student during school hoursFacilitate clear communication between the student, teachers, and peers to support academic successMaintain confidentiality and professional standards in all interactionsCollaborate with educational staff to ensure smooth integration of interpretive services within the classroom environmentQualifications:Active Sign Language Interpreter certification or a minimum Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.5 (candidates with lower scores will be considered)Demonstrated experience in ASL interpretation, preferably in educational settingsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staffCommitment to providing inclusive and accessible communication servicesPosition Details:Contract duration: Current School Year (CSY)Work schedule: 37.5 hours per weekOnsite position exclusivelyOne available positionThis role provides the opportunity to impact a student's educational experience significantly through expert ASL interpretation.
