Job Description
The Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology is on the lookout for an exceptional obstetrician-gynecologist to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role presents a thrilling chance to broaden the services offered by the Department. We are particularly interested in candidates who are board-certified or eligible and have a passion for resident education and direct patient interaction within an academic environment. Division members oversee resident continuity clinics and gynecologic teaching services, as well as provide in-hospital gynecologic consultations. They also play a vital role in educating medical students. Our faculty practice operates across five outpatient locations and one labor and delivery unit, comprising 26 obstetrician-gynecologists, four gynecologists, and 16 nurse-midwives. Areas of expertise among our faculty include minimally invasive surgery, family planning, vulvar disease, menopause, pediatric and adolescent gynecology, and breastfeeding support.Our medical center is a cutting-edge tertiary care facility, with a new hospital set to open in 2026. The medical school associated with us graduates around 200 medical students annually. The obstetrics and gynecology residency program collaborates with a local medical system and trains 11 residents each year. These faculty members hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), doctorate (PhD), or another terminal degree in their field. Clinical faculty are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms ranging from three to five years, with the possibility of reappointment. Their primary focus is on delivering outstanding clinical care, which may also involve teaching and/or research.Tenure-Track Faculty: This category includes those with titles such as assistant professor, associate professor, or professor who are eligible for tenure or have already attained it. These faculty members possess a doctorate (PhD), MD, DO, or another terminal degree in their area of study. Their main career focus is on research, service, and teaching, although tenure-track faculty with MD, DO, or MD/PhD degrees may also engage in clinical care.Research Faculty: This group includes individuals with titles like research assistant professor, research associate professor, or research professor. They hold a doctorate (PhD) or another terminal degree in their field.
