Director Strategic Sourcing

Job DescriptionAs a Director of Strategic Sourcing at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a critical role in delivering Government proposals and contracting performance in support of the Subcontracts Government Sourcing Team in GCOE. This role will ensure adherence to FAR/DFARS regulatory requirements to maintain a compliant operating environment while integrating with peer organizations. You will drive speed, maintain schedule, enable cost certainty, and achieve cost avoidance.The successful candidate will report directly to the Sr. Director, Government Sourcing (GCOE).As a people leader, this position will play a critical role in building, and maintaining a strong team through development, coaching, and mentorship to help the team perform at their best and drive change. As a key leader, the position will continuously work to develop successors, drive retention and engagement, and foster an inclusive culture.In this role, you will also have a significant impact on the financial performance of the business through the delivery of cost savings. You will be accountable for developing and executing annual and strategic sourcing plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will also work closely with others at Honeywell Aerospace including transitions, sourcing, procurement, and other functional groups at Honeywell Aerospace to ensure operational success.ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead a team of matrixed subcontracting professionals. Strong project management capabilities. Develop and drive robust training programs for continuous team development and new hire onboarding focusing on process, tools, and FAR/DFARS compliance requirements. Drive and deliver Productivity and Contracts, all assigned targets as required to support STRAP and AOP. Drive aligned Government supplier relationships ensuring continuity of supply for the assigned programs. Collaboration with Government and Commercial Sourcing Category Strategy team to ensure flawless coordination of work transfer Recruit, develop and retain top talent within the industry Frequent travel to supplier locations and Honeywell sites for meetings/ visits Recruit, develop and retain top talent across your full team Align with GCOE, Sourcing, Business, Operations, and Other Honeywell Aerospace Businesses to execute supply plans Lead Organizational Effectiveness and Continuous Improvement projects in the organization with GCOE Op Ex Team Monitor and communicate key procurement metrics at weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports and meetings. QualificationsThe annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $168,300 - $210,800. For Washington and most major metropolitan areas in New York & California, the annual base salary range is $192,000-$240,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
