Application Engineer in Riverside County

Application System Integration Engineer (Solar Inverter + EVCS + Portable Power Station)In the role you will be a key technical role within the cross-functional team to integrate hardware and software products between our own and others worldwide. You will support the customer by acting as the liaison between the customer and other internal teams to handle upgrades of system configuration, resolve technical failures as soon as they arise and evaluate the efficiency and performance of the systems to support product operations and requirements. You must have excellent communication and technical skills to support the entire development process from design, testing, qualification, and certification, especially in providing recommendations to improve the product capability and prevent downtimes. Your ability to work in a complex networking environment will also make you an ideal candidate.ResponsibilitiesDevelop an integration of inverter, energy storage systems, EV chargers and other related systems that can operate and be tested in the lab and at fieldSystem Integration, pre-sales and post-sales supportProvide technical support to local and other states field technicians and customers – system queries, technical issues, and troubleshooting via Telephone, Chat, Email, and other communication tools and platformsTravel to sites for inspection, test, and fixing system issuesAnalyze the failure and availability statistics of the installed fleet to identify failure trends early and initiate corrective actionsInterface with service, engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, and product leadership teams to expedite resolution of technical issuesWork with the R&D & Quality team to increase system performance, based on statistical data by performing preliminary and repair on the defective returnsCollaborate with R&D teams to improve product support by tracking issues, projects and associated reports and driving process improvementsField test and lab test of prototype retrofits and verification of the technical documentation to meet the field engineering needsProvide training to distributors, electricians and key customersManage product system integration and test/study on competitor productsOther tasks related to Growatt companyQualifications / RequirementsBS/MS in Engineering from an accredited university or college (prefer electrical engineering)3+ years professional hands-on experience within the renewable energy industryProject / Product Management experienceElectrician experience / knowledgeComfortable working in the field with PV, ESS, related communication protocolsHands-on experience with electrical wiring, construction and product assembliesWillingness and ability to travel 25% of the time (sometimes on short notice)Good customer communication skillGood self-starter, organized and time managementMulti- (English and Chinese is a plus)BenefitsDental insuranceHealth insuranceVision insurancePaid time offScheduleMonday to FridayCommunicate w/ China teamJ-18808-Ljbffr
