Part-Time Administrative Assistant

Final offers are determined based on a variety of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and other job-related considerations.Part-time benefits include a retirement savings plan, education discounts, and publishing discounts.What You Will Be Doing:Reporting directly to the Associate Dean for Counseling Services (ADCS), the Part Time Administrative Assistant is responsible for the coordination of various office tasks and functions to ensure office processes run smoothly. Provides administrative support to the counselors and interns, assists students with inquiries about counseling, and coordinates and connects with other departments within Student Development.Essential Functions:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.Serves as a first point of contact for Counseling Services for walk-ins, phone calls, and emails.Effectively answers questions, directs requests appropriately, and works with the team to efficiently exchange information.Provides administrative support to the ADCS, the counselors and interns. This may include the scanning of documents, photocopying, assisting with student intake paperwork, reserving rooms for groups or presentations, assisting with scheduling, and ordering all office supplies. Recognizes the need to reprioritize as appropriate.Effectively performs general administrative activities including organizing and maintaining filing systems, processing of paperwork, generating reports and updating databases.Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree required2+ years of prior office experienceStrong organizational skills with keen attention to detailExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a dynamic environment with shifting or competing prioritiesDemonstrated passion for working with studentsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applicationsPreferred Requirements:* Prior experience in a mental health office setting preferred, but not requiredWork Environment/Conditions:Moody Bible Institute is a Christian-based Higher Education and Media Ministry.
