About the business
The Group is a multi-national packaging manufacturing business for the beverage sector. Its US footprint is located across the US but headquartered in Tennesee with a satellite facility on the West Coast. The business has recently invested heavily in the US manufacturing footprint and new product launches with significant success. Whilst the US company revenue is below $20m, it is on a steep upward revenue and EBITDA trajectory.
Job role & responsibilities
They key responsibilities are:
General bookkeeping & financial control
Leading a small finance team of 2 - 3 individuals to ensure accurate and timely reporting and bookkeeping
Preparation of inventory reports and supporting Plant / Production Managers with inventory management and maintaining appropriate stock levels
Work with Group team to coordinate insurance/tax/legal needs in the Americas
Responsibility for financial processes and controls and continuous improvement
Oversight of monthly payroll process, working with external payroll provider to ensure timely and accurate completion
Basic company secretarial duties for the North American legal entities
Month end processes
Preparation of monthly reporting pack for group consolidation
Preparation of monthly performance report and related detailed analysis as required
Margin analysis on a monthly or ongoing basis as required
Month end account reconciliations
Cashflow management
Cash flow forecasting, including weekly updates to short term cash flow forecasts
Work closely with AR clerk and commercial team to ensure timely collection of amounts receivable from customers
Controls and audits of multiple third party inventory locations around North America
Capex tracking and management
Tracking significant investment projects
Oversight of the capital assets register
Margins analysis & pricing
Margin analysis on monthly or ongoing basis
Support with pricing for products going to market
Budgeting / reforecasting
Key contributor to annual budgeting process
Weekly forecast
Periodic annual or quarterly reforecasting
Ad hoc financial projects
Local insurance policy management
401k management
Ad hoc procurement projects
Local bank liaison
Etc
Upgrade ERP system
Lead role in embedding current ERP software implementation
Oversight of Quikbooks, the financial accounting software of choice which maps onto the ERP
Professional Qualifications/Experience
Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular) and experience of accounting systems
Good bookeeping experience, including preparation of month end reconciliations
Qualified accountant
Monthly reporting
Prior experience of manufacturing / inventory management required
Prior experience of Group reporting required
Prior experience of working in a growing SME ($2m - $20m revenue) required
Pay: $170,000.00 per year
