Sandblaster-Coater

This position is responsible for the application of paint products in accordance with customer specification and requirements. This position is responsible for cleaning, preparing and coating products. As well as operating heavy equipment to move product around and perform abrasive blasting indoor/outdoor or confined spaces.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSandblasting parts to remove dirt, paint, grease and other built-up material from surfaces.Clean, prepare and apply paint or coating in accordance with customer and QMBS specifications/requirements.Follow and understand standard work, training guides, procedures and criteria to meet customer requirementsCleans and maintains work areas, tools and equipment at the end of each shift, maintains a safe, organized shop environmentComply with all safety policies, codes and regulations to protect the safety and health of all employees.Other job duties, as assigned by managementRequired SkillsAbility to stand, walk, kneel and perform physically demanding and repetitive tasks for extended periods in a manufacturing environmentReport to work as scheduledMust be able to work in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to develop and maintain strong work relations with teamMust have effective communication skillsWorks well as a productive and collaborative member of a fabrication teamExcellent Organizational skills and attention to detailWillingness to work additional hours, including evenings and weekends, as production schedules or customer demandMust be able to build trust and promote a positive safety cultureMust be able to life 75 lbs and hand physical demanding workMust be adaptable to changing field conditions and operational demandsMust pass a Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol screening, participate in the random testing pool and remain drug & alcohol free throughout employmentMust pass a motor vehicle record check and background checkQualificationsThe requirements listed in this job description are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required and must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Work EnvironmentThis job operates within an IronWorks, Inc facility during normal or extended business hours.
