Team members also have access to tuition reimbursement, training programs, and internal mobility opportunities for those interested in exploring or growing into clinical and other healthcare careers.Role Overview:Perform daily and thorough cleaning using the Seven Step Cleaning Guidelines in the Environmental Services Aide (ESA) ManualSafely remove general, infectious waste and soiled linen following hospital procedures and safety guidelinesHandle and mix cleaning chemicals according to safety and infection control standardsUse equipment such as the cardboard baler and trash compactor properly and safelySupport unit operations by completing small moves or room setups as neededParticipate in department meetings and required training sessionsComplete additional projects or assignments as directed by leadershipShare ideas for improving efficiency, safety, and workflow as part of MSK's culture of continuous improvementKey Qualifications:No prior Environmental Services experience required - if you meet the basic qualifications and bring the right mindset, we'll provide the training you need to succeedAbility to operate or learn to use floor-cleaning equipment and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and pushing for extended periodsCapable of lifting at least 30 lbsBasic computer knowledge to support communication and trainingCore SkillsMotivated and eager to learn - demonstrates reliability, positivity, and teamworkDelivers excellent customer service and takes pride in supporting patient careMakes sound decisions and acts with integrity in a fast-paced environmentTakes ownership - holds yourself and others accountable for results and commitmentsCommunicates effectively with a wide range of colleagues and patients, adapting style as neededValues feedback and reflection to continuously grow and improveAdditional Information:Location: 530 E 74th St, New York, NY 10021Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9a-5p.
