Project Manager

AP Executive Staffing is hiring a Project Manager with Mechanical Engineering aptitude for our customer in Batavia, NY. This direct hire opportunity will join a highly collaborative and highly tenured team. You will prepare and coordinate project submittals internally and externally and analyze proposed site factors and design maps, graphs, tracings, and diagrams to illustrate findings. This role oversees the development and verification of dimensions, square footage, profile and component specifications, and material quantities. As a key member of a small, high impact team, you will provide operational support to Sales, Purchasing, Production, Quality Control, Dispatch to ensure in specification and timely delivery of customer orders and coordinate the preparation of project documentation. Specific responsibilities include:Read and review project prints and structural specifications to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements. Coordinate the preparation of detailed drawings and design layouts for projects to ensure conformance to specifications and timely delivery.Provide documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, and/or specifications to properly convey all requirements to each department on how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, shipped, or used.Obtain all required information from the customer to determine complete project details, such as plan preparation, acceptance testing, and evaluation of field conditions.Maintain a professional and positive relationship with customers and vendors. Follow up on open issues in a timely manner to maintain project timelines. Inspect project site as needed to ensure conformance to design specifications and applicable codes.Participate in on-going education and training to stay current on regulations, technology, best practices, industry standards, soft-skills development, etc. and utilize this knowledge in day-to-day job functions.Develop goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish job functions timely while supporting coworkers and the company professionally in a positive manner.Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED)5 years of related experience in Engineering, Technology, Design and knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of equipment and 5 years of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technicalprocedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, contractors, sub-contractors, individuals, managers, and vendors.Basic MS Office software including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams. Knowledge of and ability to use CAD software is a plus.
