Your work directly supports capital market transparency, informs investor decision‑making, and contributes to the financial stability of essential public infrastructure. As a Rating Analyst, you help ensure that communities across the country can access affordable financing for vital water and sewer services. Responsibilities Conduct in‑depth research and prepare comprehensive documents and presentations for rating committees.Attend rating committee meetings alongside senior analysts as assigned.Demonstrate a solid understanding of ratings criteria and financial statement analysis.Assist in the collection, organization, and analysis of data for special projects.Collaborate with analysts to publish periodic thought‑leadership articles.Manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment with strong attention to detail.Compensation/Benefits Information (This section is only applicable to US candidates): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position isUSD $63,000 - $84,000 . Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. What We're Looking For Basic Required Qualifications An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have2+ years of extensive experience in relevant analytical or financial work.Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, government/public policy, or a related field.Demonstrated interest in government operations and utilities.Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis, including cash flow and credit models.High proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients.Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.Adaptability, creativity, and willingness to learn through both formal training and hands‑on experienceAll employeesare required towork from the office a minimum of 2 days per weekWerequireall candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office.
