Ready Mix Driver

Job Description Description:Mack Industries is looking to add experienced Ready-Mix Drivers to our growing company. In this year-round position one will work as a team of one delivering concrete and successfully assembles and operates concrete chutes, controls appropriate mechanicals of the truck and discharges concrete accordingly.Position requires local travel, home each night!Starting wages $22-$30/hr, based on experience!Essential FunctionsHauling and unloading of ready-mix concreteAssembles concrete chute and attaches chute to the back of the truckControls appropriate levers and switches on the truck to discharge concrete according to contractor specificationsComplete daily driver's concrete vehicle inspection report and mileage logsPerform daily pre- and post-trip inspections, document and communicate required maintenanceAble to transports materials safely to their destinationPerform daily cleaning and washing of vehicle, including but not limited to removal of concrete buildup on all interior and exterior parts of the mixerFollow company policies on the use and wear of standard PPE while loading/unloading (hard hat, safety vest, safety toe boots, and safety glasses)Adhere to all federal and state regulationsAdhere to company policies and procedures including but not limited to driving and attendanceAbility to be flexible with last minute schedule changes, location changes and shift time changesAbility to transport material with attention to detail and emphasis to safetyAssist in other areas as neededRequirements:Education and TrainingHigh school diploma or equivalentKnowledge of DOT & CDL regulationsConstruction site safety including concrete material handling and basic equipment maintenanceKnowledge of construction vehicle safety concepts such as vehicle and road weight capacitiesMinimum QualificationsMust be 21 years of ageCDL A or B with no restrictionsManual Endorsement requiredValid Driver's License with clean driving recordStrong written and verbal communication skillsDue to the nature of the job duties and federal regulations, this position will require an applicant to submit further employment and driving history prior to interviewing and/or offer of employment.Environment Conditions and Physical StrainConstruction environment, seasonal weather conditionsDue to the nature of the operation, the levels of noise, dust and dirt can be high.Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs, on occasionThis position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all dayThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
