This position is an individual contributor role responsible for the preparation and submission of accurate, timely and compliant SEC filings including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and other related filings.The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented accounting professional with proven knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations and public company reporting requirements. Strong cross-functional problem solving and communication skills are required.Key responsibilities:Assist with the preparation of SEC filings for the quarterly and annual financial results of Carrier in accordance with GAAP and SEC filing requirements (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements and other required documents)Review and provide input into the investor relations function for earnings release presentations and non-GAAP reportingAssist Legal Department with Proxy and other periodic Form 8-K filingsMonitor and interpret changes in SEC regulations and accounting standards, communicating relevant updates to stakeholders and implementing necessary changes in reporting processesAssist with technical accounting research and preparation of technical memos as neededCollaborate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits, ensuring timely resolution of issuesSupport consolidations and month-end close processes as needed including preparation of monthly GAAP cash flow statementSupport a variety of special projects in support of senior management, compliance activities, M&A activities or consolidations functionFacilitate continuous improvement in reporting processes, systems and internal controls Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance / Business Administration, (with a concentration in accounting), with 5+ years accounting experience and 2+ years of financial reporting, ORMaster's Degree in Accounting, with 3+ years accounting experience and 2+ years of financial reporting. Preferred Qualifications (nice to have)Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:CPA preferredStrong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulationsProficiency with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Workiva a plusStrong communication skills with the demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of staff and managementAbility to work independently, self-starter, taking initiative for improvementsAbility to handle confidential material related to company financial results and disseminate such information with appropriate discretionStrong attention to details Pay RangeThe annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 - $192,000.00 annually.
