Director of Client RelationsLocation: Lower Manhattan, NY - Full-time OnsiteCompensation: Up to $230,000This is not a school job. The result is top-tier outcomes and a parent community that expects clarity, confidence, and absolute follow-through.To support that level of expectation, we are hiring a senior, on-the-ground relationship leader to represent Alpha within New York’s most discerning parent communities.The RoleThis role sits at the intersection of education, trust, and reputation.You are not just supporting families. You are guiding them through one of the most personal, high-stakes decisions they will make.From first introduction through long-term advocacy, you are the consistent, credible presence they rely on. You lead nuanced conversations with confidence, host polished and thoughtful experiences, and manage relationships with the kind of discretion and judgment that cannot be taught.You will be highly visible, both on campus and within the broader parent ecosystem. Your effectiveness will come not from volume, but from credibility, presence, and the strength of the relationships you build.What You’ll Be DoingOwning the full parent relationship journey from first conversation through enrollment, retention, and long-term advocacyLeading high-touch, often multi-meeting conversations with families evaluating a non-traditional education modelHosting intimate, well-run events and information sessions that reflect Alpha’s standards and ambitionActing as a trusted advisor to families navigating complex educational decisionsManaging sensitive conversations and concerns with discretion, composure, and sound judgmentBuilding strong word-of-mouth momentum within tightly connected parent networksPartnering closely with Admissions and school leadership to ensure a seamless and consistent family experienceWho Thrives HereYou are someone people naturally trust in important moments.You’ve built your career in environments where relationships are personal, expectations are high, and discretion is non-negotiable. Either way, you understand how they think, what they value, and how trust is built.Backgrounds That Translate WellWe are less concerned with job titles and more focused on pattern and environment.Strong candidates often come from:Private or independent school leadership (especially parent-facing roles)High-end hospitality or luxury service environments where discretion and relationship management are criticalMembership-based or community-driven organizations serving affluent clienteleClient advisory roles working closely with high-net-worth familiesExperience within education is highly valuable in New York, particularly where it provides credibility with discerning parents. Hospitality or luxury service experience is equally compelling when paired with strong judgment and presence.What We’re Looking For5+ years in highly relational, client-facing roles serving high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth individuals or familiesDemonstrated experience guiding people through high-consideration, multi-step decisionsStrong track record of building trust, driving engagement, and generating referrals or advocacyExperience hosting or leading small, high-touch events or conversationsExceptional judgment handling sensitive, personal, or confidential situationsA natural ability to build rapport and credibility across a wide range of personalitiesBased in New York City (or deeply familiar with the local landscape) and able to be fully on-siteWhy Alpha?Alpha exists because the traditional model is no longer enough.2-Hour Learning compresses academics, elevates real-world skill building, and challenges long-held assumptions about how education should work.Families choose Alpha because they want something fundamentally better.
