The Senior Project Manager, reporting to the Senior Director of Manufacturing Technology, is responsible for the development of innovative and continuous improvement projects as well as the overall management and safe completion of projects within time, budget, and scope. This individual works directly within the Manufacturing Technology Office as well as cross-functional teams and associates throughout the organization, outside partners and vendors to deliver value-added business solutions meeting Libbey’s purpose-driven strategyRESPONSIBILITIESManage a small team of project team leaders to execute projects while leading larger scope projects.Manage CapEx projects through established processes and procedures by utilizing common project management tools.Responsible for Leading and supporting the project management execution of projectsLead Project Approval Committee cadenced meetingsAssist in the development of detailed project charters and detailed project plans to establish target expectationsDevelop project schedules and milestones using appropriate toolsIdentify and manage project dependencies and critical pathMonitor and control project budget, schedule, and resourcesFacilitate all project communication processesLead project status meetings and prepare regular Project Status ReportsEnsure assigned resources are informed, supported and accountable for target milestone datesCoordinate internal resources and third-party vendors/partnersProactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plansManage changes to project scope, project schedule and project costs through appropriate levels of approvalCreate and maintain project documentation including but not limited to; project plan, communication plan, change management log, actional item log, meeting records, project decisions, etc.Set, update, and continually manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders  Conduct project “Lessons learned” meetings and create recommendations report for continuous improvementParticipate in the development of best practices and tools for project managementLead, influence and empower the organization to fulfill our purpose (living our legacy, shaping our future and winning as one)Cultivate a diverse and inclusive culture where associates can thrive, make us better and fuel ideas/innovations to ensure our long-term successREQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Management, or a related field, is required 5+ years of Project Management experience preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to speak to technical-level staff and summarize communications for executive presentationFamiliarity with project management software tools such as MS Project, Primavera or One Plan to effectively manage, monitor and control project activities.Works well with others in an integrated team environmentSelf-motivatedAbility to facilitate interactive project planning sessions with cross-functional teamsExcellent documentation skillsDemonstrated success in medium and large-scale, cross-functional/complex projectsAbility to influence without authorityProblem Solving/Troubleshooting – Proven ability to resolve challenging business or technical issues with minimal assistance.  Must execute efficient course of action for resolution of multiple stakeholder issuesMultitasking - Ability to engage in and contribute to several initiatives in a concurrent fashion.  Work closely with variety of cross-functional stakeholders to contribute to the planning and prioritizing of initiativesBusiness Acumen – Possess knowledge of business best practice and Libbey’s enterprise strategic visionAccountability - Must be able to follow direction and complete assigned tasks on timeAbility to conduct efficient and effective project meetings through a variety of settings with a combined audience both in-person and remotely (via video conferencing) Proven agility in managing/balancing priorities and ability to apply expert judgementAbility to travel occasionally, 10% or less PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSFrequent sitting, using hands/fingers to operate office tools and equipmentClose-up vision necessaryFrequent speaking/listening in face-to-face and/or phone conversationsOccasional standing/walkingOccasional reaching above shoulders, stooping, kneeling, and/or crouchingOccasional working in industrial facilities (manufacturing plant and/or distribution centers)Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds        COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESSTake Control: ask for the direction and support you need to attain mastery of your objectives and ownership of your professional development.Be Engaged & Committed: lean in to learn, engage, and contribute, resulting in increased performance and personal satisfaction from your work.
