Fiber Technician

Job Title: Fiber TechnicianJob Summary: We are seeking a skilled Fiber Technician to install, maintain, and repair fiber optic systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working on aerial fiber (poles), performing system overhauls, and ensuring high-quality network performance.Key Responsibilities:Install, splice, test, and maintain fiber optic cables and equipmentPerform aerial work on utility poles, including climbing and bucket truck operationsConduct system overhauls, upgrades, and repairs of fiber networksTroubleshoot and resolve fiber-related issues in the fieldEnsure all work meets safety standards and company guidelinesRead and interpret network diagrams, blueprints, and splice mapsMaintain tools, equipment, and accurate job documentationRequirements:Experience in fiber optic installation, splicing, and testingAbility to work on poles and at heightsValid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferredKnowledge of fiber optic tools and equipment (OTDR, fusion splicer, etc.)Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditionsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
