About the Company and the Project Accountant: • Salary: $70,000 to $85,000 • Long‑standing Stability: Fourth‑generation, family‑owned company approaching 90 years in business • Growth & Expansion: Accounting team is actively growing with additional roles being added in the coming year • Leadership: Recently added CFO bringing fresh perspective, structure, and a focus on developing the finance team • Culture: Close‑knit, team‑oriented environment with strong employee tenure and positive collaboration • Work Environment: Supportive and approachable leadership with a focus on continuous improvement and modernization Key Responsibilities of the Project Accountant Role: • Track and analyze project financials from start through completion • Maintain accurate job cost records, including labor, materials, and overhead allocations • Assist with month‑end close by preparing project‑related journal entries and reconciliations • Partner with project managers to monitor budgets, costs, and profitability • Perform variance analysis and identify cost drivers or discrepancies across projects • Prepare and maintain project reporting for internal leadership Requirements for the Project Accountant Role: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 3+ years of job costing experience • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting
