Payroll Analyst

Responsibilities and duties:End-to-end processing of multi-frequency union and non-union payrollsAudit and reconciliation of HR and payroll data to identify and resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracyEnsure data is compliant with federal, state and local tax regulations including multistate taxation rulesReconcile payroll integration and bank filesProvide timely and compliant response and set up of employee garnishmentsProvide ad hoc reports to internal customers as requiredRespond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, providing timely and accurate information and resolving discrepanciesKeep abreast of payroll related regulationsBuild and maintain strong relationships with business partners including Human Resources and ITProvide testing support for system upgrades and periodic tax updatesSpecial projects as assignedRequirements:3+ years of payroll experience in a large company settingExperience with SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) or other major HCM system preferredStrong attention to detail and a high level of accuracyProficiency in Microsoft Office suite with intermediate level Excel skillsDemonstrated understanding of the relationship between HR policies/programs and payrollAbility to maintain strict confidentialityStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize competing demands and work well under pressureAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProactive with excellent customer service skills
