($50,000-$67,000)*CHC Learning Center is a small, private school, for students with severe, multiple disabilities. Most students are non-verbal, and non-ambulatory. Many are medically fragile.Speech Language Pathologists at CHC perform responsible work in identifying, appraising, and interpreting communicative disorders of speech, voice, and language, as well as oral/motor and feeding disorders.Responsibilities For Speech Language Pathologist Plans and provides educational group and individual therapy programming as indicated by Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) Provides supervision, evaluation, and work assignments to assigned instructional assistants, therapists, student teachers and/or volunteers when appropriate Responsible for own involvement as an active contributing team member involving group decision making and the development of a positive, cooperative learning and work environment When necessary confers with physicians, other professional individuals, and parents concerning the diagnostic and therapeutic program and overall communication and oral/motor/feeding needs of the student Documents evaluations, treatment goals, plans and student progress Enhances professional growth and development of self and others through participation in educational programs, workshops, etc. Keeps up to date on current professional literature Writes letters of justification for AAC devices to either Early Intervention, School Districts, or Medicaid.
