CAD Drafter

Job SummaryThe CAD Drafter is primarily responsible for creating shop drawings using AutoCAD software. Following the completion of these drawings, the CAD Drafter will navigate the submittal process to secure necessary approvals. This position reports directly to the Drafting Department Manager.Responsibilities and DutiesGenerate comprehensive and meticulously detailed job-specific drawings that encompass various aspects of new construction projects, renovations, and both commercial and residential properties. Play an integral role in the formal submittal process by coordinating effectively with the client’s representative, architects, and property owners to ensure clarity and alignment on project specifications. Demonstrate strong collaborative skills by actively engaging with team members, fostering a harmonious work environment, and contributing to the achievement of shared project and departmental objectives.Qualifications and SkillsMust have experience working in CAD and be able to read blueprints and architectural specs. Must have reliable transportation, pass a pre-employment drug test, and sit for long periods of time working on a computer. This is an in-office position, 8 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday. So, candidates should live within a reasonable commute.
